I keep reading how polygamy is gaining wider acceptance here in North America and decided to do a bit of snooping around to find out if this is true.

The only thing I new about multiple wives came from some friends who spent time in Saudi Arabia and from what they told me a lot of men had up to four wives, BUT could only be married to as many as they could support and treat equally.

Here is the operative word bunky, SUPPORT!

In other words, if ya couldn’t support even one wife, you sure weren’t gonna end up with three or four!

On the other hand, from what I have seen here in North America, and especially in Western Canada they have a scam going on makes me see red every time I think of it!

Bad enough immigrants come here and then bring over their entire extended family and every freind and aquiantance they have ever known....... and all live together in two small rooms somewhere.

But, the latest trend is for a guy with two, three or four wives, to come over here with the first one, bring in the second one a few months later as his sister and then the rest over the next few years as aunts, sisters, cousins etc.

Now this isn’t the worst of it kids, no sir.

What really gets me is that as they come over they are immediately put on WELFARE and as time goes by the more the merrier are on the dole and everbody lives happily ever after.

There are certain groups that have perfected this to the point where it is not even a science anymore, but rather an “ART!”

I know how it happened too. Somebody came over here in the seventies sometime and discovered the new welfare society and how to get his whole faily over here on the dole so that nobady would have to work again, and....... wouldn’t ya know it?

Word spread!

Like wildfire!

You get five or ten or fifteen related people all collecting welfare over here and they can live better than they EVER could back home.

They would live like Kings and Queens compared to the poor slobs back in the old country!!

When my parents came here in the early fifties from war torn Europe, there was no welfare state and they had to get off their ass and find a job within DAYS of hitting these shores, or go hungry.................!

My how things have changed!

Don’t get the impression I am against immigration folks!

Far from it!

Immigrants are the lifeblood of this country and we should wlecome as many as we can, but I am at a loss about what to do with these people who abuse the system, and there doesn’t seems to be any end to it or any way to stop it!
