I would like to tip my hat, and give a big word of thanks to nationally syndicated columnist, Roland S. Martin.
Roland has jumped to the defence of Miss California, Carrie Prejean who, since she answered a question regarding same-sex marriage in Sunday’s Miss USA pageant honestly, has been savagely attacked by those who oppose what she had to say.
Now if you have been out of the country, unconscious for a few days, or just don’t care about the Miss U.S.A. pageant like your long suffering author, what she said was that, “she doesn’t agree with same sex marriage,” and that comment cost her the crown.
(Carrie holds the same opinion that is shared by me and most of North America. “That marriage is between a man and a woman, and one of the main reasons is to have kids.”)
No big deal, no long story, no fancy footwork and explanations!
Period.
(If gays want to live common-law, together, co-habitate, live in sin, shack up or whatever, then good for them and I don’t mind at all. After all, it’s live and let live kids! I have lots of gay friends who live with someone of the same sex and don’t mind a bit...... as long as they don’t tell me they are married!)
Marriage has been a sacred institution between a man and a woman since time immemorial and a bunch of gays trying to hijack it to give themselves credibility ain’t gonna work folks!
No sir;
Just the same as the gay community claim that 10-12 percent of the population is homosexual or bisexual is just a lie to make themselves appear more mainstream, (The actual figure is 2 - 3 % bunky!) so their claim to marriage is an attempt to join the general population in an institution that, by it’s very nature, must exclude them!
One of the biggest critics of Miss Carrie Prejean is a certain gossip queen who is on a personal mission to discredit Miss California further.
This is where we thank Roland Martin for his kind words;
In spite of Roands opinion of Miss Hilton, which I agree with, I think the main problem here is that a minority group is once again making so much noise that it has become “politically incorrect” to question them under the guise of discrimination.Leading the burn-her-at-the-stake parade is media opportunist Perez Hilton, the self-described gossip queen, and the individual who kick-started this controversy by asking the initial question as to whether the issue of same-sex marriage should be left up to the states.
It seems that Hilton, who is gay, was none too pleased that Prejean chose to actually give her personal opinion on the issue, and ripped her on his blog after the show, using crude obscenities as he continued to attack her at every turn on his media blitz.
Hey, Hilton, from a real journalist to a wanna-be who traffics in gossip: Never ask a question if you’re unprepared for the answer!
Put it this way folks, if I have a choice between Roland Martin and Perez Hilton to spend eternity on a small island with, (Roland, - man, black, straight, - Perez, - woman, white, queer!) I would have to go with Roland every time!
At least I would enjoy talking to him!
Oh WAIT, WAIT...I keep forgetting, Perez Hilton is a GUY!
The way he talks... I get confused sometimes..., oh well, all the more reason to go with Roland!
