I’m just having new carpets put in my condo, so all the furniture is out of the bed rooms and office and piled up in the living room.

As a result, I had to quickly hook up the computer without sound this morning.

(That’s because the speakers are in a box somewhere and I don’t need them to get E-mail from work!)

After that was done, I was surfing some news sites and came across a headline on Fox News that immediately caught my eye.

It read: “Should the U.S. invade Canada?”

Now if it was anyone other than Fox News my first reaction would be “Ha Ha!”

But, since it WAS Fox News my first thought was...Huh?

Sound or not, I had to find out what was going on!

[After all, Canada and The States haven’t been at war with each other for a couple of hundred years. (1812)

And if any of you remember, that one didn’t go too well for you!

Besides that, I believe we also burned down the White House somewhere along the line.

I see that you’ve rebuilt it.

(It’s very nice!)

Anyway, Canada and the States have been more like kissin’ cousins of late, rather than a Cain and Able thing, so I don’t really see a reason for war?

Besides, ya can’t want our oil that bad!]

Back to the story...! Since there was only a video clip and no printed text of the upcoming invasion, I had to try and lip read to find out what they were saying!

Didn’t work!

But!

I noticed that the panel members were all doing a lot of smiling, and even laughing, which didn’t sit too well with me at all.

No Sir!

If it had been anybody else but Fox News I would have just figured that they thought it was a big joke.

But with them?

Ya just never know now, do ya bunky?

I mean, they could have been laughing their heads off just because they thought it was such a good idea!

The only thing I know for sure is that if you Americans do decide to invade Canada, at least it will help bring tourist dollars in and get rid of those long lines at the border!.

So maybe it’s not such a bad idea after all!

Besides..., perhaps we could give you Quebec as war reparations.
